Regardless of which teams wind up in Super Bowl LVII, there will be plenty of intrigue. The San Francisco 49ers have faced both Cincinnati and Kansas City on Super Sunday. They beat the Bengals twice (XVI and XXIII) and lost to the Chiefs in LIV.
The Eagles have never faced either AFC team in the Super Bowl, but a Kansas City/Philadelphia clash would feature head coach Andy Reid facing his old employer from the City of Brotherly Love.

The 49ers gave up the fewest points in the league this season. It has been a few years since a team was shut out in the NFL playoffs. The last time came in the 2015 AFC Wild Card Playoffs, when the Chiefs blanked the Texans, 35-0. There have been 31 shutouts in NFL postseason history. More than half (16) have come in the championship round dating back to 1933. Since the merger in 1970, there have been 20 shutouts, eight in either the AFC (2) or NFC (6).
