The 2023 College Football season is moving along quickly. Each week, there are exciting matchups as we inch closer and closer until the end of the year. Throughout the season we at Full Press Coverage have ramped up our college football coverage this season. So far this season, we have given you great content, including the weekly AP Top 25 Poll. And there is a lot of movement this week inside the latest rankings as Week 9 of the season came and went.
It will be interesting to see what the first College Football Playoff Committee Rankings look like this Tuesday. You have to wonder if there will be differences between the AP Top 25 and the Committee’s Rankings. Especially at the top. The early season trend from voters remains the same. If you were a highly-ranked team with expectations and you did not win with style, that dream got dropped in the rankings. In addition, if you are a good team and have a good win on your resume, you will not fall that far as we saw with Oklahoma this week.
There were some teams off this week, which allowed them to move up because of losses higher up in the rankings. Alabama moved up two spots to number eight with the loss by Oklahoma to Kansas. Meanwhile, the Sooners remain in the Top 10 at 10 because of their win over Texas. However, the Sooners have not looked great the last two weeks and they finally got caught by the Jayhawks.
Oregon looks like the best team in the Pac-12, as Washington continues to struggle, but the Ducks are one spot behind the Huskies because they lost to Washington. Utah drops to number 18 with their second loss in the Pac-12. That conference, like the Big 12, is wide open. And, of course, USC, even with the win, remains just on the fringe of the Top 25 because of their defensive performances.
And let’s show some love to the military academies, with Air Force ranked 17 with another impressive performance in the snow.

Again, the big question heading into Tuesday is, who will be the nation’s true number one? Will it be Georgia, Ohio St, or Michigan? Find out here on Full Press Coverage when the rankings drop.
