Every team in the league has played at least nine games and it’s been a season where we have seen numerous teams utilize two of three different quarterbacks.
It’s a big week for the AFC North. All four teams are above .500, and it is rematch time for the Bengals and Ravens, as well as the Steelers and Browns.
Meanwhile, what’s gone wrong in the AFC East?

The Houston Texans (5-4), Indianapolis Colts (5-5), and Chicago Bears (3-7) are the three teams that have already equaled or surpassed their 2022 win totals. Two other clubs, the Browns and Broncos, can also match their number of wins from a year ago with victories over the Steelers and Vikings, respectively. With the exception of the Colts, the other four teams listed all finished last in their divisions a year ago.

The Jaguars lead the AFC South with a 6-3 record, but the improved Houston Texans are right on their heels. They host the 3-6 Tennessee Titans on Sunday, which may not necessarily be a good thing. Doug Pederson’s team owns a disappointing 2-3 home record, with one of those victories in London. All three of Jacksonville’s losses have come in their own building, with Pederson’s team scoring a combined 29 points.

Back in Week 2 at Pittsburgh, Mike Tomlin’s club rallied for a 26-22 victory over the Browns. The Steelers totaled four takeaways and returned two of Deshaun Watson’s miscues for scores. Kevin Stefanski’s club has an NFL-high 19 giveaways and has played only one game without committing a turnover. On the other hand, the opportunistic Steelers are one of four teams with a league-high 18 takeaways this season.

Does anyone remember the last time an AFC East team won a game? That would be Week 8 when the Bills defeated the Buccaneers, the Dolphins defeated the Patriots, and the Jets bested the Giants in overtime. All four teams lost in Week 9. This past week, New England, New York, and Buffalo fell, while Miami was enjoying its off-week. The four clubs in the division have combined for an eight-game losing streak.

There’s a Super Bowl LVII rematch on Monday night when Andy Reid’s team hosts the Eagles. The Chiefs’ head coach has seen both sides of this rivalry, having led the Birds for 14 seasons from 1999-2012. During that tenure in Philadelphia, the Eagles were 3-0 when facing Kansas City. With the Chiefs, Reid is 4-0 when facing the Birds, including the 38-25 win on Super Sunday. Hence, Reid is a perfect 7-0 in this rare rivalry.
