Could the Pittsburgh Steelers trade wide receiver Diontae Johnson? While they are not actively shopping Johnson, it does appear that they are open if the right offer comes along.
Appearing on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh, Tony Pauline stated what he believes would be PIttsburgh’s asking price, “I think they would move him for a third-round pick. I don’t think that they would take a day three selection to move him.”.

While a third-round draft pick does not sound like much, it is definitely worth considering for the Steelers if offered. An additional pick in the middle rounds can help when it comes to maneuverability. Should a player that Pittsburgh is interested in still be available as their pick approaches, they could use one of these picks to move up and select them. That is, of course, if Pittsburgh trades Johnson before the draft.
Once a promising receiver in Pittsburgh, Johnson has seen his production drop off in the past two seasons. A combination of an unstable quarterback room, in addition to the offense of Matt Canada, did not help anything. However, there was some questionable effort at times that Johnson alone is responsible for. There is a reason why Pittsburgh is looking at first-round receivers while being willing to listen to offers for Johnson, and it is not because they are content with their current receiver group.
