The Denver Broncos appear to be entering their season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs about as healthy as an NFL team can hope to be.

Marvin Mims Jr. is the only Denver player listed on the team’s Week 1 injury report, with the wide receiver dealing with a foot issue. Mims was a full participant Thursday and Friday, an encouraging sign that the injury is unlikely to significantly affect his availability for Monday Night Football.

Most importantly for Denver, quarterback Bo Nix does not appear on the injury report and is ready to begin his third NFL season against the team the Broncos dethroned as AFC West champions last year.

The clean report also means Denver should have its primary offensive weapons available, including Courtland Sutton and J.K. Dobbins, while a defense built around Patrick Surtain II and Nik Bonitto enters the opener without any major Week 1 injury designation currently listed.

That stands in contrast to Kansas City, which has already ruled out starting left tackle Josh Simmons and defensive back Chamarri Conner.

For Denver, the injury conversation entering Monday night is refreshingly simple: monitor Mims’ foot, but otherwise prepare with a roster that appears close to full strength.
