This is a short-week test for two teams trying to separate themselves before the middle of October. Seattle is 3-2 and coming off a 32-29 loss to San Francisco, while Denver improved to 3-2 with a road win over the Chargers. Both teams enter Thursday night with playoff expectations and a chance to make a national statement.
The Broncos are also trying to remain unbeaten at home. Denver’s official watch guide notes that the team is 2-0 at Empower Field at Mile High this season and is looking for its second home primetime win. Bo Nix and the Broncos are still searching for offensive consistency, but Denver has found ways to win while leaning on its defense and late-game execution.
The visual side of the matchup will stand out as well. Denver announced that both teams are wearing throwback uniforms for the Thursday night game, with the Broncos in their Orange Crush-inspired look and the Seahawks in royal blue throwbacks.
