With the 98th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Texans selected Jordan Akins, a tight end out of the University of Central Florida. Drafting Akins was a smart decision by Texans general manager Brian Gaine, because he has the overall talent and receiving prowess to replace former Texans tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz.
The Texans selected Mississippi State offensive lineman Martinas Rankin with the 80th overall pick in the NFL Draft. This pick will shore up the tackle position, and maybe the offensive line as a whole, for the years to come.
