The Pittsburgh Steelers got some good news on Friday when Mike Mitchell and Vance McDonald both practiced for the third consecutive day. Neither appeared on the injury report and both will be good to go on Sunday.

Steelers injury report: Mike Mitchell, Vance McDonald back in action

Mitchell has missed two of the past three games. A lot of people are pointing to the loss of Joe Haden being the main reason the secondary has broken down recently, but the shuffling in and out of the lineup for their starting safety has to have some effect as well. It will be major to get him back in the lineup.

McDonald has missed three straight games and four of the last five with an ankle injury. McDonald has not brought much to the table as a pass catcher, but as a run blocker, has shown a major upgrade over Jesse James. The Steelers will be looking to get a lot of McDonald as a pull blocker on Sunday. This will not be talked about as much as Mitchell, but it is a huge addition to the offense.

Tyler Matakevich, who stepped into the linebacker spot for Ryan Shazier is out for Sunday with a shoulder injury he suffered in that game. He is the only main addition to the injury report, aside from the obvious two of Joe Haden and Ryan Shazier.

Antonio Brown was a full participant after playing through a toe injury on Monday Night Football. He looked rough in the pregame, but finished with eight receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown. Apparently, all things are good to go on the toe.

T.J. Watt, who also was listed on the injury report with a knee issue was good to go on Friday and appears to be ready roll on Sunday. Given the knowns of Shazier and Haden, this was an overall uplifting practice day for Pittsburgh.
