The Cincinnati Bengals made a handful of roster moves in order to put together their initial 53-man roster.
Players waived by the Bengals
Hakeem Adeniji, Devin Asiasi, Nick Bowers, Larry Brooks, Ben Brown, Owen Carney, Malachi Carter, Drue Chrisman, Yusuf Corker, Domenique Davis, Allan George, Nate Gilliam, Jeff Gunter, Shaka Heyward, Mac Hippenhammer, Shedrick Jackson, Raymond Johnson III, Keandre Jones, Jaxson Kirkland, Kwamie Lassiter II, Jaylen Moody, Tyler Murray, Jacob Saylors, Reid Sinnett, Christian Trahan, and Calvin Tyler Jr.
Placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list
La’el Collins
- Feed has no items.
Collins has a knee injury, which will see him begin the year on the PUP list.
Placed on Reserve/Injured list
Tautala Pesefea Jr. and Marvell Tell III.
Pesefea is dealing with an elbow injury, while Tell has a concussion.
Contracts terminated by Cincinnati
Tanner Hudson, Sidney Jones IV, Stanley Morgan, Trevor Siemian, Trent Taylor, and Michael J. Thomas.
The Bengals are opting to have rookie Jake Browning back up Joe Borrow over veteran Trevor Siemian. This is a very risky move by Cincinnati. With that being said, the Bengals are a team whose chances go down in flames without Burrow, so hanging on to a veteran for the sake of it does not make much sense.
