Finding themselves shorthanded and in need of some help on the offensive side of the ball, the Baltimore Ravens are activating veteran running back Melvin Gordon from the practice squad, according to reports.
This comes following an earlier report that the Ravens would be without seven starters on Sunday, including running back Justice Hill. Baltimore is operating in an all-hands-on-deck manner as they look to avoid losing to an inferior Colts team.

The Ravens offense still runs through Lamar Jackson, but he needs some help if things are going to work out in their favor. The combination of Edwards and Gordon should be able to take pressure off Jackson to do everything himself. This will come in hand as Baltimore’s offense will be without two skill position players in Hill and Odell Beckham Jr. Additionally, Tyler Linderbaum and Ronnie Stanley will miss the contest, which could create problems for the offense. Having someone with as much experience as Gordon should help Baltimore in this adversity-filled situation.
Gordon appeared in 10 games for the Denver Broncos last season, rushing for 318 yards and two touchdowns on 90 attempts. The 30-year-old back is no longer a workhorse however, he can still be effective in a complementary role.
