The Ravens took on the visiting Seattle Seahawks in a contest that ended up not being very close, with Baltimore coming out on top 37-3.
Baltimore Outplayed Seattle Nearly Across The Board
Pick a stat from Sunday’s contest, and there is a pretty good chance that the Ravens held the advantage. Their 29 first downs, 515 total yards (217 passing, 298 rushing), 7.3 yards per rush, and time of possession (40:04) were all heavily in Baltimore’s favor. Seattle struggled to get anything going offensively, being limited to just six first downs on 151 total yards. The Ravens going 6-13 on third down compared to Seattle’s 1-12 showed how far the game was tilted in Baltimore’s favor.
An Efficient Outing From Lamar Jackson
This was a contest where the Ravens did not need Lamar Jackson to do everything himself. Jackson completed 21 of 26 pass attempts for 187 yards while rushing for 60 yards on 10 carries. The former MVP operated in a manner that allowed Baltimore to grow their lead and keep the ball out of Seattle’s hands.
There is one blemish on Jackson’s day, fumbles. Jackson would fumble twice on Sunday, losing one while recovering the other. The two fumbles are far from ideal and are something that needs to be cleaned up moving forward, but luckily did not factor into the result.

A Surprise Performance Out Of The Backfield
There was one player in Baltimore’s backfield that seemingly came out of nowhere on Sunday. Keaton Mitchell. Mitchell would rush the ball nine times for a game-high 138 yards and one touchdown. This was more than double of any other Baltimore ball carrier’s rushing total. It would not be surprising to see Mitchell become part of Baltimore’s running back by committee approach moving forward.
OBJ’s First Ravens TD
After seven games and some visible frustration not too long ago, Odell Beckham Jr. finally found the end zone as a member of the Ravens. This was Beckham’s first touchdown since he scored in the Rams Super Bowl win over the Bengals. As far as regular-season touchdowns are concerned, this ended a scoreless streak that dates back to January 2, 2022.
While there is hope that this kicks off a scoring run for Beckham, this touchdown reception did come on a pass from Tyler Huntley and not Jackson. Until Beckham scores with Jackson, doubts will remain as to whether or not he can still be an impact player.
Next Up For The Ravens
Baltimore will face the Cleveland Browns at home in Week 10. This is a team that the Ravens beat by a sizable margin back in Week 4. However, the quarterback situation will be drastically different this time around. Cleveland will have Deshaun Watson in their starting lineup rather than rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson. While Watson has been far from good, he does give the Browns a much better chance to stun the Ravens at home than Thompson-Robinson.
