The NFL is officially back.

The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks play tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 9, in the 2026 NFL Kickoff Game at Lumen Field. The matchup will be televised nationally on NBC, with live streaming available through Peacock and Spanish-language coverage on Telemundo. Pregame coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET, followed by kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. Eastern, 7:20 p.m. Central, 6:20 p.m. Mountain and 5:20 p.m. Pacific.

How to Stream Patriots vs. Seahawks

Peacock will carry the complete national live stream, including the game broadcast. NBC and Peacock’s coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET with a special edition of Football Night in America before the game begins at 8:20 p.m. ET.

The Seahawks’ official game center also lists NFL+ as a viewing option, subject to the service’s normal location and device restrictions.

Who Is Calling the Game?

Mike Tirico will handle play-by-play, with Cris Collinsworth serving as the game analyst. Melissa Stark and Kaylee Hartung will report from the sidelines, while Terry McAulay will provide rules analysis.

Why Patriots-Seahawks Is Opening the Season

Tonight’s game is a rematch of Super Bowl LX, which Seattle won 29-13 over New England. The Seahawks will raise their second Super Bowl championship banner before beginning their title defense at home.

Seattle returns with Sam Darnold at quarterback, while New England begins another season with Drake Maye leading a revamped offense that now includes A.J. Brown.

Final Patriots-Seahawks Injury Report

New England will be without running back TreVeyon Henderson, who was ruled out with an ankle injury. Backup center Ben Brown is also out because of a knee injury and did not travel with the team. Defensive tackle Christian Barmore practiced fully Monday and Tuesday and enters the game without an injury designation.

Seattle ruled out starting safety Ty Okada with a hamstring injury. Safety Nick Emmanwori and wide receiver Tory Horton are both questionable after being limited throughout the practice week.

How to Listen on Radio

In the Seattle market, the game will air on Seattle Sports 710 AM and KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM, with Steve Raible, Dave Wyman and Jen Mueller handling the local broadcast. Westwood One will provide the national radio call with Kevin Harlan and Kurt Warner.

Tonight’s game begins the 2026 NFL season and gives the Patriots an immediate rematch with the team that ended their championship run seven months ago.

Patriots at Seahawks kicks off at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
