Kawhi Leonard is officially returning to the Toronto Raptors, seven years after leading the franchise to its first NBA championship. The long-awaited trade with the Los Angeles Clippers has been finalized after being delayed by the NBA’s salary-cap investigation into Los Angeles.

Toronto receives Leonard, while the Clippers acquire Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, unprotected first-round picks in 2031 and 2033, a 2027 first-round pick swap, and second-round picks in 2030 and 2033.

The move gives Toronto another legitimate star alongside Scottie Barnes and dramatically raises the Raptors’ ceiling in a loaded Eastern Conference. For Los Angeles, the Kawhi Leonard trade officially closes a turbulent era and begins a significant roster reset after the Clippers were also stripped of five future first-round picks as punishment for salary-cap violations.
