Jayden Daniels suffered a dislocated left elbow during the Washington Commanders’ 37–20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, head coach Dan Quinn confirmed after the game.
Quinn said initial X-rays showed no fracture, with additional imaging planned for Monday, September 21. No return timetable was announced in the postgame update.
Daniels was injured on the final play of the first half after stumbling following the snap and attempting to brace his fall with his left arm. He was carted to the locker room and ruled out after halftime.
Before exiting, Daniels completed 11 of 17 passes for 96 yards and a touchdown while adding 69 rushing yards. Marcus Mariota replaced him to start the second half and will handle quarterback duties while Daniels is sidelined.
Daniels previously dislocated the same elbow against Seattle in November 2025 and aggravated the injury later that season. Washington now awaits further medical findings to determine the next steps in his recovery.
