DJ Moore remains questionable for the Buffalo Bills’ Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Buffalo has not confirmed his game-day availability as of this Sunday morning update.
The receiver’s shoulder injury leaves fantasy managers waiting on a decision before the early games. Keon Coleman is also officially questionable, although a new report points toward him playing.
Status checked Sunday morning, September 27, before the official inactive list.
Is DJ Moore Playing Today?
Moore is a game-time decision, according to Buffalo’s final injury report. Head coach Joe Brady said the team would allow both Moore and Coleman until game time to establish whether they could play.
Moore was limited in Friday’s practice. That kept the possibility of playing open, but it did not remove his questionable designation.
For anyone making a lineup decision, the distinction matters: participating in practice is a step toward availability, not confirmation that a player will suit up.
When Will the Bills Confirm Moore’s Status?
Buffalo’s inactive list is expected around 11:30 a.m. ET, ahead of the 1 p.m. kickoff, as noted in Buffalo Rumblings’ Sunday update. That is the next clear checkpoint for Moore managers.
Keep a replacement ready before that announcement. Once the early games begin, alternatives from those games will no longer provide the same flexibility.
Keon Coleman Is Reportedly Expected to Play
Buffalo Rumblings reports that Cameron Wolfe expects Coleman to play against Los Angeles. Coleman is dealing with an ankle injury and returned to limited practice Friday after missing the first two sessions of the week.
That report applies to Coleman, not Moore. Their decisions should be treated separately, and Coleman’s anticipated return does not resolve Moore’s shoulder question.
Fantasy Impact if Moore Plays
Our fantasy approach is to check both availability and expected involvement. If Moore is active without a reported restriction, managers can weigh him against their usual alternatives. If pregame reporting suggests a reduced role, that changes the calculation.
A player can be available without receiving his normal workload. Do not assume a full target share solely because his name is absent from the inactive list.
What if Moore Is Ruled Out?
Moore’s absence would create receiving opportunities for Buffalo to redistribute, but it would not guarantee that one teammate inherits all of them. Coleman’s own health would remain part of that assessment.
For Josh Allen, the relevant question is which receivers are available and how the offense distributes its passing work. For fantasy managers, the best replacement is the player with the clearest expected opportunity in their actual lineup—not automatically the next name on Buffalo’s depth chart.
Other Bills Injury Notes
Buffalo also listed defensive lineman Ed Oliver as questionable with a hip injury. Jordan Hancock and T.J. Sanders were ruled out on the final report. Brady said running back Ty Johnson was good to go after missing the first two games.
