The four-match card produced these results:
United States Championship: Trick Williams defeated Baron Corbin inside a steel cage. Three straight Book Ends finished Corbin after he survived the Trick Shot.
Women’s Money in the Bank qualifier: Lash Legend beat Charlotte Flair and Giulia, pinning Giulia following the Lash Extension.
Six-woman tag: Fatal Influence defeated Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton and Paige with help from Nikki Bella.
Men’s Money in the Bank qualifier: CM Punk defeated Finn Bálor and Gunther.
CM Punk Capitalizes in the Main Event
Bálor hit Gunther with the Coup de Grace to break a sleeper on Punk. Punk immediately covered Gunther for the win. He now has a chance to become a three-time Money in the Bank winner.
The finish rewards opportunism, which is exactly what the briefcase represents. Punk did not need to control every exchange; he needed to recognize the opening before Bálor did. That makes the manner of his qualification a useful preview of the threat he can pose in a ladder match.
What Comes Next on SmackDown?
Giulia’s loss led to a backstage confrontation with Blake Monroe. Nick Aldis booked them against each other for next week after officials separated the pair.
That gives Giulia an immediate way to respond to the setback. For Legend, the question shifts from surviving a qualifier to turning that opportunity into championship leverage. Friday’s results moved both women forward, but along very different paths.
