DJ Moore, Keon Coleman and Ed Oliver are questionable for the Buffalo Bills’ Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, leaving Buffalo with decisions to make at wide receiver and along its defensive front.
Friday’s final injury report also lists guard Ar’maj Reed-Adams as questionable and defensive lineman T.J. Sanders as out. Defensive back Jordan Hancock was ruled out before the Bills placed him on injured reserve later Friday.
Bills Injury Report: Final Week 3 Designations
Here are the players with game designations on the Bills’ official injury report, with Hancock’s subsequent roster move noted.
| Player | Injury | Friday practice | Status vs. Chargers |
|---|---|---|---|
| DJ Moore | Shoulder | Limited | Questionable |
| Keon Coleman | Ankle | Limited | Questionable |
| Ed Oliver | Hip | Full | Questionable |
| Ar’maj Reed-Adams | Elbow | Limited | Questionable |
| T.J. Sanders | Illness | Did not participate | Out |
| Jordan Hancock | Hamstring | Did not participate | Out; subsequently placed on IR |
DJ Moore and Keon Coleman Return to Limited Practice
Moore returned to limited participation Friday after missing Thursday’s session. Coleman also practiced on a limited basis Friday following two days without participating.
Their availability would help determine how much flexibility Buffalo has in its passing game. If either receiver cannot play, the Bills would need to redistribute opportunities; if both are unavailable, that adjustment becomes more substantial.
For now, neither player has been ruled out. Their questionable designations leave their Sunday availability unresolved, and Friday’s participation should not be treated as confirmation that either will play.
Ed Oliver Practices Fully but Remains Questionable
Oliver progressed from no participation Wednesday to limited work Thursday and a full session Friday. Sanders missed all three practices with an illness.
That combination makes Oliver’s status especially important to Buffalo’s defensive-line rotation. With Sanders already unavailable, another absence would further narrow the Bills’ options inside. A full Friday session is an encouraging development, but the final designation still matters.
Oliver missed the Week 2 game against Detroit after hurting his hip during warmups.
Bills Sign Greg Dortch, Place Jordan Hancock on IR
Buffalo also signed wide receiver and return specialist Greg Dortch to its active roster Friday while moving Hancock to injured reserve.
The transaction adds a receiver to the roster while Moore and Coleman remain uncertain. It does not establish how large an offensive role Dortch will have against Los Angeles.
Terrel Bernard Has No Game Designation
Terrel Bernard did not practice Friday, with knee and veteran rest listed, but received no game designation. Joe Andreessen, Bradley Chubb and Ty Johnson also finished the week without designations.
When Do the Bills Play the Chargers?
Buffalo hosts Los Angeles at Highmark Stadium on Sunday, September 27, at 1 p.m. ET on FOX. For television and streaming details, see our Bills vs. Chargers viewing guide.
The next key update is which questionable players are available Sunday. Until then, Buffalo’s receiver situation and defensive-line depth remain the central injury questions entering the matchup.
