The Los Angeles Chargers have ruled out six players against the Buffalo Bills, but Ladd McConkey and Rashawn Slater carry no game designations into Week 3.
The team’s final injury report Friday also lists Trey Lance and Rodney Shelley as questionable.
Which Chargers Players Are Out Against Buffalo?
| Player | Position | Injury |
|---|---|---|
| Kayode Awosika | G | Fibula |
| Charlie Kolar | TE | Forearm |
| Elijah Molden | DB | Hamstring |
| Trey Pipkins III | T | Knee |
| Brenen Thompson | WR | Quadricep |
| Dalvin Tomlinson | DL | Hamstring |
The absences create several different problems to manage. Losing options at guard and tackle reduces flexibility up front, while missing a tight end and receiver narrows the available combinations on offense. On defense, the Chargers will have to account for absences both inside and in the secondary.
Ladd McConkey and Rashawn Slater Have No Designations
McConkey practiced fully throughout the week with a rib injury. Slater, listed with a groin injury, finished with two full sessions after limited work Wednesday.
Their availability is a positive for an offense facing a difficult road assignment. It gives Los Angeles an established receiving option and protection on the edge as it works around the players already ruled out.
Tuli Tuipulotu, Derwin James, Khalil Mack, Cole Strange and Deane Leonard also have no game designations.
Trey Lance and Rodney Shelley Are Questionable
Lance was added Friday with a groin injury and limited participation. Shelley, dealing with a hamstring injury, returned to limited work after missing Thursday.
Neither questionable designation is a ruling that the player will miss the game. Their availability remains something to monitor before kickoff, particularly as Los Angeles settles its active roster around the six confirmed absences.
Bills Also Have Injury Decisions to Make
Buffalo has uncertainty of its own. DJ Moore, Keon Coleman and Ed Oliver are questionable, as detailed in our Bills Week 3 injury report. Those decisions could affect the matchups the Chargers prepare to face on both sides of the ball.
