Texans vs. Jaguars: Week 6 Storylines
The Jaguars bring a 4-1 record into their first divisional game of the season, having opened their London trip with a 19-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. For Jacksonville, a second win across the Atlantic would strengthen its position in the AFC South before the team’s Week 7 bye.
Houston finally got into the win column with a 26-3 victory over Tennessee in Week 5 and is now trying to turn that result into momentum, a storyline in the Texans’ Wembley game preview. Quarterback C.J. Stroud and the Texans’ offense face a Jacksonville team that has made a strong start under head coach Liam Coen. Houston’s recent addition of wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., Stroud’s former Ohio State teammate, adds another storyline to an important early-season division game.
These teams last met in London in 2019, when Houston defeated Jacksonville 26-3 at Wembley. This time, the Jaguars are the designated home team and have an opportunity to defend their London stage against a familiar AFC South rival.
