Week 7 of the College Football season is in the books, and it was one of the best weekends in the game’s history. Five of the top eight teams in the AP Top 25 fell, including three in the top five. Teams like the Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas Longhorns, Georgia Bulldogs, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Indiana Hoosiers went down.
For the first time since 2012, the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the AP Top 25 lost. In 2012, it was Oregon and Kansas State. It was also the first time since 1996 that Alabama, Georgia, and Texas all lost. For the first time in 24 years, the Miami Hurricanes are the No. 1 team in the AP Top 25.
The schedule is only getting harder for some of these teams. More losses are coming for some of these top teams. Welcome to the second edition of Full Press Coverage‘s College Football Top 25 rankings. Is it no surprise the BYU Cougars are number one?
Should they be number one? BYU just beat the No. 2 team in the nation. Some will say the Miami Hurricanes are the better team. Maybe they are, but they didn’t look great against Florida State and survived on a controversial call.
Could there be surprises people didn’t see coming, since Full Press Coverage has its own guidelines for ranking teams? Do you agree with these Power Rankings?
