Round 2, pick #4 – Will Hernandez, Guard. Texas-El Paso
From the scouting reports done on this guy, he sounds like a Mike Zimmer-type player. Hard working, bit of a nasty streak, and the athleticism to succeed in the Vikings’ run-blocking scheme and is respectable to good in pass protection with some room to still grow.
Had I not pulled the trigger on the trade, I would’ve still taken him at #30. As it turns out, the gamble paid off because I still got a 1st-round talent while gaining an additional high-round pick in the process.
